It is 1/29/23.
I am 3 days post-op from having a hysterectomy and oophorectomy. (1/26/23) Everything was textbook perfect during the surgery. Praise the Lord! I was able to return home about 10 hours after the surgery was over. My incisions and bloodwork were fine, and I had minimal bleeding, so my doctor said I didn’t have to stay, which was a huge praise. I don’t know anyone that likes sleeping in a hospital bed.
I have rested for the majority of the weekend. My husband, children, and church family have been so helpful! I have not taken anything for pain since about 10 pm Friday. I attended Sunday School, morning service, and our church meal, but my husband thought it would be best for me to come home after that rather than staying for the afternoon service. I quickly agreed. I do not want to overdo it and cause myself any pain or setbacks.
So far, rest and the heating pad have been my best friends.
I have concerns about menopause at 29, but being warm has been so nice so far! Fibromyalgia has affected my body temperature, and I feel like I’ve been cold for two years. I have been warmer since the anesthesia wore off. I had a hot flash this morning while putting on my makeup, but it did not last long, and I am not going to complain!
The pain has been manageable. I am still tired easily, so if this seems all over the place, I am so sorry! It’s probably time for me to go to bed.
I appreciate those that have prayed and checked on me! I will do my best to keep everyone updated. Maybe my journey will help someone else! If you have had this surgery or are considering it, feel free to reach out!
Thank you for being patient with me!
Stay in the Word, stay close to the Shepherd, and let Him lead you in paths of righteousness.
With Hope in HisService,
Heather
